On 5th December 2024 the Department of Higher Education, Assam released the list of selected Literary Awardee and Pensioners for 2024. Shri Braja Gopal Sinha, Retired Principal of Chargola Valley Public Higher Secondary School was selected as one of the Awardee from Sribhumi (erstwhile Karimganj) district. along with 30 other awardees and pension recipients.
